Technical Content Developer 3

SUMMARY Works side-by-side with technical content editors and illustrators, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to create technical information for company products, thereby adding value to customers. Researches, retrieves, organizes, analyzes, and synthesizes complex subject matter into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand information deliverables. Analyzes user information and user experience (UX) requirements and analyzes feedback to propose improvements to product development and support services. Responsible for executing project plans and delivering accurate and timely technical information. ACCOUNTABILITIES • Writes, edits and proofs hardcopy and online documents for consistency, adhering to company branding, information, and writing standards to publish content for many different audiences in multiple formats - then employs various authoring and desktop publishing software tools to publish deliverables to multichannel platforms. Examples: reference documents for hardware and software products, code, user interface tests, white papers, Application Program Interface and Command Line Interface Documentation, online help systems • Demonstrates an understanding of company technologies to ensure all deliverables are technically and mechanically accurate • Collaborates with department team members, engineering, marketing, services, legal, regulatory and others to develop content for standard documentation sets, software and special initiatives in-line with the development cycle • Creates and manages document schedules, content management, and information architecture • Maintains content, tools, application access, account administration, and workflow administration • More experienced writers may train outside business groups as needed on tools, applications, reporting, and content workflow needs
