Software Lead — WEST

Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, testing and delivery of Java applications. • Guide developers on technical solutions, coding standards and development best practices. • Review code and designs to ensure software quality, security, performance and maintainability. • Work with project managers, architects and stakeholders to clarify requirements, estimate effort and plan development tasks. • Troubleshoot complex application issues and support integration, deployment and production issue resolution. • Oversee unit and integration testing, and support CI/CD and release activities. • Mentor team members and maintain technical documentation. Requirements • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. • Strong hands-on Java development experience, with experience leading a development team or technical delivery. • Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns and application design. • Experience developing backend services, REST APIs and integrating applications. • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL and database performance considerations. • Experience with Git, build tools, automated testing and CI/CD. • Strong troubleshooting, communication and team leadership skills. • Experience with Spring Boot or the Spring Framework is an advantage.
